We have used Rojas for two projects at our home and couldn’t be more pleased . Ben and his team built us some beautiful brick flower beds that have added great curb appeal to the front of our home . They also extended a concrete slab in our backyard to increase our patio space. A few months later we had them come back and install a retaining wall to help mitigate soil erosion and some foundation issues on one side of our home that was not properly graded when the builder built the home . I’m a retired civil engineer with more than 35 years of construction and project management experience, so with all confidence I can say my recent experience with Rojas Contractor to rebuild a retaining wall on my lot was nothing less than superb. Ben and German Rojas were active listeners, professional, and punctual. Rojas Contractors provided a reasonable and transparent. Before the work started Ben Rojas, the project manager, met with me to listen to and discuss my concerns about the scope of work. During this meeting Ben actively listened to my concerns and ensured he and I had the same understanding of the scope of work. After that meeting Rojas Contractors started the work within a week and the work was completed on time and within budget with the quality I expected. During the work the Rojas work crew arrived daily on time and worked a full day and at the end of the work all the construction debris was completely cleaned up. The workers were skilled stone masons who demonstrated a desire to provide a quality product. Rojas Contractors installed a new structural wall for us in November of 2021. This is a long stretch of wall running along the west and north sides of our house near Lake Arlington. We were very careful in selecting them for the project, doing it after seeing their outstanding work on a similarly complex wall system in our neighborhood. We could not be happier with the work they did! Absolutely NO complaints. As an engineer I am always looking ahead and trying to survey all the angles, and they were for the most part well ahead of me. The job included extensive demolition of a 30+-year wall and footings, installation of new 24" footings with additional reinforcement, concrete-filled cinderblock walls and finally the Buff Lueders stone and cap--all completed within 2 weeks! This new wall will stand for many years, as it is needed to short up the foundation of our home. We WILL most certainly be calling Rojas for future hardscape/concrete projects at our home! The only other thing to note is that their price was more than competitive, which they are able to do because of the fact that they are highly experienced and efficient at this type of project. 6-14-2022 Update: Due to normal contraction from the grout there were several cracks that developed in the cosmetic portion of the wall. Rojas stood behind their work and came out to our home address these issues – and the wall looks perfect.
